X-Men Misfits

Do you love hte X-men or never really got into it but was going to look into it?
Well here's an alternative to it.
For all of you shojo manga lovers and X-men lovers (probably referring to mostly girls), here comes a new type of superhero manwha.
Manwha? Yeah, you heard right.

Authors: Dave Roman
                Raina Telgemeier
Artist: ANZU
Publisher: Del Rey
Description:
THE X-MEN GET A RADICAL NEW REMIX IN A STORY ABOUT TEEN ANGST, FIRST LOVE, AND WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN

High school student Kitty Pryde has always been the odd girl out. A mutant, she was born with strange superpowers, magical talents that make her the class freak. But Kitty’s world is changed when she’s invited to study at Professor Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, a special home for mutant teens. There’s just one catch: Kitty’s the only girl at the all-boy school, and she ends up just feeling like a freak all over again.

Then Kitty meets Pyro and the ultra-hot bad boys of the Hellfire Club. They’re the school’s elite–handsome, rich, and totally above the rules. Now Kitty seems to have it all: a dreamy boyfriend, super-cool friends, and the chance to develop her extraordinary talents. But why is her heart telling her that something is wrong? Will Kitty ever find the place where she belongs, or is she doomed to be a misfit forever?

This manwha has been canceled due to copyright issues...apparently. Since Disney will be taking over Marvel, it is rumored to have caused this manwha trouble. Which is truly sad because I was really getting into it.

My opinions about this book:

Amazing. I'm a shojo manga lover and I think that this is just awesome. They took my favorite comic book series and manga-ed it up. And to top it off, it's a shojo. Of course, everyone has their opinions, I've read reviews where people hated it and a lot loved it. There's romance, super powers, that elite-high-society-club that falls for the new girl. Come on now, a typical shojo manga amped up with crazy powers? I'm freakin' in. :]
